Crystal Fuller Obituary

Mrs. Crystal LaVonne Fuller, 68, answered the Master’s call on Sunday, July 28, 2019, in Middlesex County, Virginia. Her earthly journey began on May 20, 1951, the youngest daughter of the late Frederick Douglas Epps Jr. and Doris Lee Braxton Epps, of Williamsburg, Virginia.

At an early age, Crystal accepted Christ into her life and joined the First Baptist Church, Williamsburg.

In 1969, Crystal graduated from James Blair High school.  She continued her education at Virginia State College; receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  She taught in several school districts to include Charles City County, Matthews County, and Middlesex County.  She was also a devoted mentor to her students and other children who were blessed to be in her presence.  She truly loved and cared for all of her students, and made an impact on many of their lives.

She was active in the United Eagles Motorcycle Club, helped to organize many events with her High School Alumni members, and chaired several committees.  She was a graduate chapter member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.  Crystal had many lifelong and everlasting friends and will be truly missed by everyone she impacted.

On November 12, 1983, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Horace Alexander Fuller Jr. Unto this union, they were blessed with two loving children.

She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Horace Alexander Fuller, Sr.  She leaves to cherish her precious and wonderful memories, with her devoted husband, Horace Alexander Fuller Jr., son, Nick Alexander Fuller, of Newport News, Virginia; daughter, Christy Lavonne Fuller, of Birmingham Alabama; granddaughter, Jasiah C. Fuller; grandson, Jordan A. Fuller; sisters, Doris Epps Lee, of Birmingham, Alabama and Fredi Epps Jackson, of Hampton Virginia; cousin/sister, Katherine H. Shadding (Fred), of Goldsboro, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Rachel C. Fuller; sisters-in-law, Darlene Christian, Dianne Campbell (Carl), Nadine Neely, and Michelle Turner; brother-in-law, Marlon Fuller; a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends are to assemble at the cemetery by 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Mrs. Fuller may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated Omega Omega rites being rendered, in the funeral home.
