Deloris Ransome Obituary

On Sunday, May 26, 2019, our beloved Deloris Ransome went home to be with the Lord. She was born on February 19, 1951 and was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Lee Shierd (Poogie), her father Samuel Johnson and grandson Donald Henderson.

She leaves to cherish her blessed memories, two sons; John and Derek Wallace; Four grandchildren, Marquita Stokes, Randy Palmer (Snoop), Susie Taswell and Ayanna Wallace; eight great-grandchildren; two aunts, Helen Tucker (William) and Cheryln White, of Williamsburg, Virginia; brothers, Benson Johnson, Miguel Johnson, Chris Johnson (Linda), and Harold Johnson, all of Toano, Virgina, and Sylvester Johnson (Sandra), of Lampass, Texas; sisters, Sheila Coles (Elwood) of Williamsburg, Virginia and Tammy Jackson (Johnathan), of Toano, Virginia; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and caring friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Whiting's Chapel. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends to assemble by 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ransome may be viewed beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of her service.
