James David Rowe was born on March 18, 1944, the son of the late Mary H. and Lawrence Rowe Sr., in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Raised in the Williamsburg-James City County area, James attended the local public schools; graduating from Bruton Heights School. He furthered his education at Utah State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. David was a pioneering engineer who traveled the world as a problem solver.
David, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, loved his family. Anything that he could do to help he was willing to do. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
On Saturday afternoon October 19, 2019, God sent his angels to Consulate of Williamsburg. Their assignment was to bring His beloved James David Rowe home to eternal rest in him.
His fond and loving memories will forever be cherished by his devoted sisters and brothers, Ella Rowe, Sarah Christian, Marcellous Rowe, and Lawrence Rowe Jr.; devoted nieces, Sharon Rowe, Lisa Christian, Tracy Sims, and Pamela Wilson; great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mr. Rowe may be viewed on Thursday, October 24, 2019, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Whiting's Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon. Family and friend to assemble at the funeral home by 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
