Nevroy E. Neil AKA “Kelvin” AKA “Nev” was born on September 16, 1974, in St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica. He was the son of Meryl Bailey Neil and the late Nevroy Eustace Neil.
At an early age, Kelvin confessed Christ as his Personal Savior and became a member of Devine Church of God, Bonham Springs, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. He attended Ocho Rios Primary and Secondary Schools. On September 9, 1988, he migrated to the United States to live in Williamsburg, VA. Kelvin then became a member of Mt. Hope A.F.C.O.G. In 1993, he received his diploma from Bruton High School; after which he attended a Vocational School where he received a certificate for Diesel Mechanics.
On June 4, 2016, Nevroy joined in Holy Matrimony to Lakeisha Neil. They made their home together in Norfolk, VA.
Kelvin was a hard worker. He was employed by Western Sizzlin, The Williamsburg Marriott, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and Penske. He always wanted to move to Florida. In August, he transferred to Florida as a Truck Driver with Allied Building Products.
Kelvin was a very energetic lively person. Anyone who met him fell in love with him instantly. The one thing that was most important to him was his love for his family. You couldn’t say anything about his family and he not put you in your place. He loved to play the drums and dance. He was called “MR. HAPPY FEET” because he knew all of the latest dance moves.
On Tuesday Morning, October 2, 2019, God’s angels visited Nevroy in the St. Mary Hospital, West Palm Beach, Florida and took him to his heavenly home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Winnefred and Gerald Hunter, and grandmother, Myrtle Walker-Neil. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories with his wife, LaKeisha, of Hampton, VA; children, Marquishia, Kajah, Tazjahna, Keniya, Kehontae, all of Norfolk, VA, Shanice, of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Marquez, Kayden, Damontae, Kehontae Jr., both of Norfolk, VA; mother, Meryl Neil, of Williamsburg, VA; sisters, Donna, of Miami FL, Venora (Kijana) and Henrietta (Terrence), both of Williamsburg, VA, Nadine (Rico), of Yorktown, VA; brother, Devon (Stephanie), of Rocky Mount, NC; nieces and nephews, Che, of Columbus, GA, Jamil, DeVontee, Leontee, X’Zaviuer, and TyNesha, all of Williamsburg, VA, Rico Jr., Jaevon, Ny’Asia, and Jaymee, all of Yorktown, VA, Nickeisha and Zane, both of Miami, FL; and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
