Obituary
Alfred James Roberts was born on February 29, 1940, to Elizabeth Allen and John Prince. He transition to eternal rest on Monday, July 24, 2023, at his home with his wife of forty-seven years, Blanche, and his two sisters from Cleveland, Ohio, at his bedside.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Allen, and father, John Prince, and grandparents, James and Pearl Roberts.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Blanche Roberts; son, Alfred Roberts Jr.; grandchildren, Malikah Threats and family, Alfred Roberts II, Arielle Roberts, Alexander Roberts, and Myles Roberts; sisters, Forrestine Harvey and Linda Ford; aunt, Ann Roberts; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, surrogate children/grandchildren, church family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at New Beech Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Roberts may be viewed on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service in the church. Interment with full military honors will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
