Alvin Lewis Brooks, affectionately known as Be-Lo, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Born on December 2, 1965, and educated in the Charles City County School System, Be-Lo was a passionate risk-taker and a go-getter. He loved his family unconditionally.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Anabelle Brooks. He is survived by his loving and devoted sisters, Brenda (Alvin) and Blanche (James); three nieces, Claudette, Shenell, and Latasha; two nephews, Anthony and Antoine (Christina); three great-nephews, Jaydon, Dante, and Isaiah; a great-niece, Makayla; aunt, Fannie Dobson; and a host of other relatives and friends that will forever cherish his memory.
A graveside service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Parrish Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Attendees are requested to bring a lawn chair. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. Livestream will be available at the start of the service. Mr. Brooks may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
