On Friday, December 6, 2019, Amanda Elizabeth Frazier took up her Heavenly wings and ascended home to be with Jesus. Her life began on March 2, 1942, the fifth of eight children, born to George and Lillian Frazier, of Williamsburg, Virginia.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Zion Baptist Church, Lightfoot. She attended Bruton Heights School, Williamsburg, Virginia.
Mandy, as she was affectionately called, loved dancing to old school music. She loved to sing and have a good time. Her favorite songs were “Down Home Blues”, “Get Down Baby”, and “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay”, just to name a few. She had a love for Westerns, and you could always find her with a smile on her face, and a lollipop in her hand.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillian Frazier, sisters, Mary Moore, Novella Wright, Ruth Carter, Beulah Frazier, and Lois Tyler.
She leaves to cherish many precious memories with her brother, Preston Frazier (Vivian), of Caroline County; sister, Lillian Louise Frazier, of Williamsburg; her loving caregiver, whom she loved like a daughter, Tashawnde “Missy” Baker; loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019, in Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Valerie Matthews officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends to assemble at the church by 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Ms. Frazier may be viewed on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon until the hour of her service.
