Angelo High Obituary

Angelo Ricardo High, affectionately known as Ricky, was born on December 26, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia to Beulah M. Robinson, and the late Arturo R. High. He graduated from Denbigh High School and entered the United States Air Force from 1989-1993 and developed outstanding leadership skills.  As an entrepreneur, he owned and operated his transportation and delivery businesses and later his own catering business.

As a young boy, Angelo was the superhero brother to Nashé (aka Angelo's sister) and Tony as their great defender.  In Germany, he was known as a breakdance superstar and a part of the Universal Rockers.

On July 31, 1999, Angelo was joined in holy matrimony to Nikki D. Bacilio in Hampton, Virginia.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend.  He adored his beautiful daughters and spoiled them like royalty and raised them as queens.

Angelo was known by many as the life of the party and was loved for his energetic spirit, witty personality, and ability to make anyone laugh.  His passion for knowledge drove him to seek and become knowledgeable on many topics. From the street to the boardroom he could hold a conversation with anyone.

A master of many traits, he was “One Bad Hombre” in the kitchen, creating unique cuisine that was enjoyed by all.  His immaculate fashion sense was admired by many and inspired his youngest daughter to create a style of her own.

He had a love for competition and sports and his teams were always changing because he only rooted for the championship team. As he always said, “If you’re not first you’re last.” After facing many hardships, Angelo truly understood walking in someone else’s shoes.  He had a passion for motivating, guiding, and mentoring those who faced adversity.

Angelo was an active member of the Mount Peninsula Church where he used his sociable gift to serve in the doorkeeper’s ministry.  Above all, he had a strong spiritual relationship with his Lord  and Savior Jesus Christ.  Our time here is temporary and for Angelo, his farewells were always “Never Say Goodbye Say See you later” as he knew there would be a next time.

He was called home on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the age of 51.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Nikki D. Bacilio High, his three daughters, Octavia Nicole, Natalya Alexa, and Nadya Aoxana High; grandchildren, Jaszmine Tomlin and Jaedyn Hollis; his mother and stepfather, Beulah and Richard Robinson; mother and father-in-law, Poncier and Larry Lynch; sister, Nashé G. High; brother, Antonio C. Robinson; his special niece, Kamora Z. Walker-Bacilio; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in Whiting’s Funeral Home.  Facial coverings and social distancing are recommended.  Livestream will be available at the start of the service.  Mr. High may be viewed beginning at noon on Wednesday until the hour of his service in the funeral home.
