April Robinson Obituary

APRIL ROSALIND (HENLEY) ROBINSON was born April 30, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Brenda Satterfield and Roosevelt Henley.  April was the sixth born of eight children.  Suddenly on Monday, April 26, 2021, she received her wings and went home to be with the Lord.

"MAY," as she was called by her brother Tanny, graduated from Eastern High School in Baltimore, MD, in 1982.   After graduating, she married her High School Sweetheart MOSLEY ROBINSON-EL "Moe."  They started their journey moving to Wuerzburg, Germany, as Moe served in the United States Army.  From this union, they were blessed with three sons; Mosley Olando, Marcus, and Maurice.  During his entire military career, his family traveled with him to Indianapolis, IN Cincinnati, Ohio, Tacoma, Washington, and Annville, PA. After leaving the military, they continued to travel with Pepsico to Oil City, PA, Amherst NY, Edison, NJ, and Newport News, VA. April worked various jobs as they traveled around the world but was fortunate to work when she felt like it.  A professional "HOUSEWIFE" she was.  They were happily married for 38 years and together for 40+ years.

APRIL gave her "LOVE" and made her HOUSE a HOME everywhere they lived.  She opened her doors to many family members over the years.  Her routine for cooking for her family, maintaining a clean house, and decorating for the holidays was her passion.  She enjoyed herself in her own way and loved doing the "Chi Chi" line dance and R. Kelly's "Step In the Name of Love."  Her favorite book was "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived," and she encouraged everyone to read it.  She was small in stature but was a "GIANT." April's "LOVE" for her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, and brothers was unconditional.  She "LOVED" each and every one of them individually.  She was a great debater and would vigorously debate on any topic she believed. (but you could not win a debate with her.)  April had a "SMILE" that will truly be missed.  We "LOVE" you April, but GOD loved you BEST!

She was preceded in death by a brother, Derek.  Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Mosley; three sons, Mosley Olando, Marcus (Misty), and Maurice; four grandchildren, Aaliyah, Kymora, Tyrese (TJ), and Trenton; mother-in-law, Ella Robinson; three sisters, Robin, Shanta and Barbara; two half-sisters, Tiny and Miracle; three brothers, Derek (deceased), Rodjay, Eddie, D'Artagnan “Tanny”; half-brother, Sam; three sister-laws, Evelyn, Bernetta “Netta”, and Sheila; two brother-laws, Alexander (Al) and Willie; three aunts, Sherrie, LaVonn, and Lillian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021, at Zion Baptist Church, 1700 North Caroline Street, Baltimore, Maryland, with a viewing starting 1 hour prior to the service.  Adherence to all CDC protocols to include facial coverings and social distancing will be required.  Livestream will be available at the start of the service.  Mrs. Robinson may also be viewed from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in the funeral home.
