On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Arthur Faithuel Piggott, transitioned into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories. His earthly journey began on July 2, 1950, to the late Fraudie Mae Fleming Piggott and Winfield Curtis Piggott Sr.
“Pig,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. On June 19, 1972, Arthur enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on July 31, 1974.
He had an incredible gift for making people laugh. Being around him felt like a warm hug. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his Ivy Hill family, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Sherman Piggott, Walter Fleming Sr., and John Piggott; sisters, Judy Piggott and Gaynell Piggott Chisolm; and his beloved Melvine Jones.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his daughters, Katrina Jones and Yolanda Menns Walker; sons, Arthur Jones, Kardell Jones, and Fernandez Jones; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Ruth Piggott; brothers, Leslie Piggott, Curtis Piggott, and Bert Piggott; special friends, Roy Cotman, Ryan Braxton, and Tramaine Braxton; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A service celebrating Arthur's life will be held at noon on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Bethel Restoration Center, with a viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
Professional service have been entrusted to the staff of Whiting's Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. 757-229-3011 whitingsfuneralhome.com
