On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Barbara A. “Bobbi” Brown Jackson received a message from her Heavenly father that her assignment here on earth was complete. She was born on September 4, 1951, to the late Deacon Percell A. and Deaconess Irene V. Brown.
Bobbi, as she was affectionately known, graduated with the Class of 1971 from Charles City High School. She had an eye for fashion and design and could wear a hat to match any occasion. She later attended Barbizon Modeling School for all her fashion desires. She worked at Eastern State Hospital and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. Bobbi was a jewel and comedian to anyone that knew her. You were guaranteed to get a good laugh and be uplifted while you were in her presence. She loved everyone and did anything for anyone. She will be forever loved, remembered, and missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her husband of 27 years, Kevin L. Jackson; two sons, Michael Randall (Lamonica) and Shawn Washington; two grandchildren, A'Zavian Randall, and Amilliyon Randall; two sisters Joyce Holmes, and Yvette Taylor (Charles); brother-in-law Kelly Taylor and Breon Robinson; Mother-in-law Thelma Jackson; Special Nephews Alex Taylor and James Holmes Jr.; two great-nephews, Jalen and Jelani Holmes; and a host of loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Whiting's Funeral Home. Facial coverings and social distancing are recommended. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service. Interment to follow in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery.
