Betty Ann (Clark) Hawkins, 84, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Affectionately known as “Miss Betty,” she was born on January 24, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the eldest daughter of the late Victor and Mattie Clark.
Educated in Baltimore City Public Schools, Betty went on to graduate with a master’s degree from Morgan State (College), now University. An elementary school teacher in the same public school system she attended, Betty loved training young minds of the future for more than 40 years.
In addition to her profession, Betty was also the volunteer secretary of her church in Baltimore for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Vernell Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Zabrina Hawkins Williams (Kevin); her grandson, Brian; her brothers, Victor Clark and Roman Clark (Gloria); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Dominion Village and ACG Hospice in Williamsburg for their love, care, and support.
Ms. Hawkins may be viewed from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Whiting's Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
