On Monday, July 1, 2024, our beloved Bobby Charles Bowman went home to be with the Lord. He was born on January 9, 1958, to the late Herbert and Lillian Lue Bowman, in James City County, Virginia.
Bobby was a United States Army veteran and a retired long-haul truck driver. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, grandfather, father, and friend. He enjoyed shopping, listening to the Blues, classic Funk, old-school R&B, and watching old movies. Bobby was an avid fan of the Washington Redskin, now known as the Commanders.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Lucy Tyler, Ollie Mae Bowman, and Walter Lee Sheird; and sister, Lillian Patricia Bowman.
Bobby leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughter LaQuita Willis; sons, Lamont Bowman and Jamal Jackson; seven grandchildren; sisters, Carletha Bowman, Leslie Bowman, Janet Pearson (Louis), and Cindy Bowman; brothers, Herbert Bowman Jr. and Johnnie Bowman (Jeanie); aunts, Cherlyn White and Mel Bowman; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-aunts, great-uncle, cousins, and caring friends.
“How grateful I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard, your love.”
