Cecelia Joy  Otey

Cecelia Joy Otey was born on July 12, 1955, to the late Irvin and Amanda Rose Robinson of James City County. She departed this life on December 17, 2024.

Cecelia loved her family. She wanted her family to be family and to love one another. God Has gained another beautiful flower, called "Auntie" and "Sister."

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Sandra Jones, Francis Robinson, and Janet Robinson.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband Kenneth Otey; six sisters, Vinnie Pierce, Shelia Robinson, Rosemary Robinson (Ventson), Mildred Robinson (Alonzo), Linda Washington, and Doris Robinson; brother James Robinson (Thelma); special friend Juan whom she loved and cared for deeply; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Whiting's Funeral Home.
