Celestine Fields

Ms. Celestine Fields of York County, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.

Born and raised in York County, she was educated at James Weldon Johnson and later worked in private housekeeping and at The Williamsburg Lodge, where she was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit.

A woman of deep faith, Ms. Fields was a devoted member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church, playing bingo, and cooking for her family. She took pride in making sure her loved ones were always cared for, and her home was a place of warmth and togetherness.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her faithful heart, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Her memory will live on in all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Glinner Lee Sanders, Mary Coles, an unnamed sister, and her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Robert Fields, Reggie Fields, Garland Fields, and Ron Fields (Shanelle); her grandchildren, Janelle Fields, Kaitlin Fields, Justin Fields, Jayden Fields, and Ra’kyah Fields; and her adored great-grandchildren, Lekai Speller, Layla Speller, and Liam Fields.
