Cheryl Ann Bowman passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. She was born on March 19, 1975, in Roanoke, Virginia and was the baby of a set of triplets born to Delores and David Bowman.
Cheryl had a heart of gold and would do anything she could for anyone. She was a loving mother, amazing sister, wonderful aunt, and a dear friend to all she met. Cheryl had 3 amazing children, Rubin Aguilar, Michelle Aguilar, and Marcus Ridley. She worked most of her life caring for others as a health aide. Amongst the many things she enjoyed were thrifting, going to yard sales, talking on the phone and visiting her family and siblings.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her son Marcus Ridley; parents, Delores and David Bowman; and paternal grandparents, Mary Lambeth and David Bowman. She is survived by two of her children, Michelle and Rubin Aguilar; two grandchildren, Amiyah and Jaylen Carr; paternal grandfather David Lambeth; four siblings, Timothy Bowman (Sherry), Penny Blevins (Tony), Charles Bowman (Carol), and Crystal Barbour (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A gathering of family and friends with a viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Whiting Funeral Home.
