Connie Marie (Dove) Hicks

On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Connie M. Hicks of Williamsburg, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord.  She was born on April 1, 1959, the beloved daughter of the late Doris Juanita Dove and Billy Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Garcia Dove, Lonnie Dove, and Marvin Dove.

She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the way she made people feel seen and cared for. Whether through her words, her laughter, or simply her presence, Connie had a way of bringing comfort and warmth to those around her.

To know Connie was to know love. She gave freely of herself and kept her family close at heart. Her strength, resilience, and quiet grace will never be forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving son, James Hicks Jr.; her only granddaughter, Amelia M. Hicks; her siblings, Margaret Rose, Annette Randall, and Nathaniel Dove Jr.; her nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family and dear friends who will continue to carry her love forward.

Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Whiting's Funeral Home

Though she is no longer with us, Connie’s love remains in our hearts, guiding us and surrounding us every day. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
