Constance "Connie" Butler Obituary

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith; from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing."  II Timothy 4:7-8

Connie Butler was granted her Heavenly wings on the morning of Saturday, April 19, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Her life began on March 11, 1967, as the beloved and cherished daughter of Horace Jones Sr. and the late Rosemary J. Allen.

She was baptized at an early age, accepted Christ as her personal Savior, and was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Barhamsville, VA. Later in life she joined hands in fellowship with Shalom Full Gospel Baptist Church, Williamsburg, VA, and in February 2024, she moved her membership to Shiloh Baptist Church, Williamsburg, VA.

Connie attended Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, graduating early with the Class of 1984. She continued her education at Thomas Nelson Business School (now Virginia Peninsula Community College), where she studied Business Management.

On December 7, 1991, Connie was united in holy matrimony with Tyrone Butler. This union was blessed with thirty-three years of marital bliss and two lovely daughters.

Connie worked for 7-11 Stores, where she dedicated twenty-four years of faithful service. Her last employment was with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for six years.

In her spare time, she loved buying something new during her “shopping sprees”, eating breakfast with her dear friend Danielle, at her favorite spot, Cracker Barrel, and reading her Bible. She cherished quality time with her grandchildren and family. Connie had a generous spirit and found joy in blessing everyone who came into her presence. She was loved by so many and had a pleasant demeanor.

Connie was a loving and caring woman who leaves behind a legacy of love.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Rosemary and Ben Allen; grandparents, Mary James and Edward Piggott Sr. and Charles and Ruth Jones; mother-in-law Edith Butler; father-in-law Theodore Butler, Sr.; and brother-in-law,Theodore “Scooter” Butler Jr.
