Constance “Connie’ D. Taylor

Constance “Connie” D. Taylor entered into eternal glory on Monday, March 29, 2021, at her home. She was born on October 3, 1938, to the late Henrietta and Howard Dandridge, Sr.

Raised in Williamsburg, Constance was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School system graduating from Bruton Heights school. She was also a member of New Zion Baptist Church, Williamsburg.

Connie was preceded in death by her sisters, Monica Dandridge and Linda Dandridge; brother, Charles Dandridge. Left to forever cherish her memories her husband, Robert K. Taylor Sr.; daughters, Uvonne D. Taylor and Monique G. Taylor; son, Robert “Bobby” K. Taylor Jr. (Sue); three grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Crawford (Frederick), Nora Mayo (James), Jeanette D. Braxton (David), and Bettina Huntley (Allen); brothers, Howard Dandridge Jr. (Roberta) and Michael Dandridge; brother-in-law, Dr. James E. Pierce Jr.; sister-in-law, Ann M. Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at Whiting’s Funeral Home.  Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance.  Facial coverings and social distancing are required.  Livestream will be available at the start of the service.  Interment to follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.   Mrs. Taylor may be viewed on Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
