Darryle Alonzo Graves peacefully answered the Master’s call on Friday, September 4, 2020. He was born on April 23, 1955, to the late Edith Elizabeth Graves and Raymond Reed Sr., of Toano, Virginia.
He attended James Blair High School, at an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Chickahominy Baptist Church. “Stix”, as he was affectionately called, was a jack of all trades working as a Deep Sea Welder, landscaper, and in construction. He was also an excellent sketch artist.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lekeyia Marrow; sisters, Connie Meekins, Raymond Shackleford, and Rose Reed. He leaves to cherish his fond memories with his son, Alonzo Daquan Graves; Fianceé, Deborah Jackson; stepmother, Blanche Reed; siblings, Queen Cooley, Patricia Johnson (Chris), twins, Kimberly Washington (Joseph) and Timothy Graves, Gloria Roberson, Preston Graves Sr. (Shalean), Micheal Graves (JoAnn), Dennis Meekins, Raymond Reed Jr. (Catherine), Pedesdo Reed (Josephine), and Stacy Graves Sr. (Diana); and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2020. Facebook Livestream will be available for this service. A public walk-through viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Monday in the funeral home. Face coverings and social distancing will be required.
