Derrick Brown Obituary
Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Derrick L. Brown, has left an unerasable mark in our lives. On Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 2022, God saw fit to call his own son to rest. Derrick was born on September 5, 1971, to the late Gloria and Willie Brown of York County, Va.
He was a native of Newport News and attended York High School. Derrick was an avid sports fan and loved the Oakland (LV) Raiders. He was a loving person and was loved by all who knew him, especially his three (3) sons. We will truly miss him, but we know that God’s will have been done.
He is survived by his brothers, Willie P. Brown Jr. (Darlene) and Gabriel D. Brown (Antionette); three sons, Jahborn Brown, Saibir Brown, and Prince Brown (Rochelle); special friend, Katrina Pearson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Brown may be viewed on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with a Time of Reflections beginning at Noon at Whiting's Funeral Home. Facial coverings are required for all services.
