Donald MacLarry Morris

On Saturday, September 9, 2023, our beloved, Donald MacLarry Morris, departed this life and answered the Master’s call in Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg. He was born on June 24, 1951, to the late Cleveland Morris and Sarah Wright.

Donald was educated in the New Kent County School System. At an early age, he joined Angel View Baptist Church. On October 30, 1972, he married the love of his life, Doris Ann White-Morris.  He worked for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and retired from Aramark after many years of service.

He loved softball and was a member of the Williamsburg Invaders Softball Team where he played in the outfield. He enjoyed the team and wore his uniform with much pride. He also loved fishing, watching westerns, and spending time with his grandkids.

Donald was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bernard Wright; son, Gregory Morris; grandson, Antuan White; brother, Neal Morris; and sister, Lana Marie Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of fifty years, Doris Ann White-Morris; daughter, Sylvia White; grandson, Cameron White; great-grandson, Angel Antuan White; brother, Matthew Wright (Shavonne); sister, Linda Morris; aunt, Lillian Taylor; sisters-in-law, Clara Johnson and Rosa Cotman (Charlie); brother-in-law, Miles White; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving and caring friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Mr. Morris may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
