Earl Stanley Ashby

On Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Earl Stanley Ashby heard his Heavenly Father say to him, “Come on home son: you ran a good race and fought a good fight with patience and kindness.”  He was born on April 13, 1964, in Newport News, Virginia.

He was a loveable son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Stanley left an undeniable mark upon many hearts. He will always be remembered for his good sense of humor. Through all his trials and battles he never lost his faith or compassion. He was the greatest pride and joy of his family and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stewart Ashby, Sr., and sister, Carolee Ashby. His memories will forever be cherished by his two daughters, Erricka and Leshay; three beautiful granddaughters; loving mother, Dorothy Baker; sisters, Kimberly Boyd (Doug) and Bernadette Smith (Kareem); brother, Stewart Ashby, Jr. (Belinda); and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Christ Community Outreach Center, Newport News.  Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service.  Facial coverings are required.
