Edgar Demory White Jr.

Our beloved father has transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, March 13, 2026.  He peacefully departed to reunite with our Heavenly Father and family members who had passed on before him. Edgar was the son of the late Mary E. and Edgar Demory White Sr.

He loved Christ and was a member of Colossian Baptist Church in Newport News, VA.  

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Mattie White.

Edgar is survived by his six daughters, and two sons, Sandy Penny (Lorenzo) of Williamsburg, Tyrone White (Gracie ) of Williamsburg, Sharon White of Newport News, Regina King of Williamsburg, Donna Branch (Nathan) of Newport News, Roxanne White Williams (Darryl) of Maryland, Edgar White III (Cindy) of Williamsburg, and Edna Bishop (Alvin) of Arkansas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other loving relatives, and friends.

We will cherish and honor the legacy he created as we joyfully celebrate the life he lived and the memories he left for us to carry on. 

A memorial celebration will be held at noon on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Whiting's Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
