I am safely home in Heaven dear ones!
Oh so happy, Oh so bright!
There's perfect joy and beauty;
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now in peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last!!
On Monday, March 7, 2022, Etheleen Mozelle Orange went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her life began on June 11, 1924, the daughter of Ethel Oliver and James Fowlkes, in Emporia, VA.
She later moved to Crewe, VA. where she joined the Episcopal church and graduated from high school as Salutatorian. She eventually moved to VA Beach and then Williamsburg where she met and married Solomon B. Orange in 1950.
Mozelle, as she was affectionately called, was a kind and caring lady. She had a big heart and always had a smile on her face. She was very intelligent, quick-witted, and had a sly tongue. She was an at-home Mother who babysat for numerous families. Oh yeah, she Loved her Cats!! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her memories will live in our hearts forever.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving devoted son, Curtis "Smooth" Orange; special nieces, Jackie Neal, Lynette Johnson-Diggs, Barbara Washington, and Cynthia Pugh; special nephews, Russell Johnson and Roy Johnson; special friends, Lillian Lee, Ethel Hill, Nancy James, Chestina Fallen, and the Churchill's; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many caring friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2021, at Whiting's Funeral Home, with Dr. Morris L. Randall Sr. officiating. Live stream will be available at the beginning of the service. Facial coverings are required for the service.
Professional services entrusted to the staff of Whiting's Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. 757-229-3011 whitingsfuneralhome.com
