She was a dedicated member of the York County School system, where she served as a cafeteria worker and retired after 32 years of service.
In the later part of her life, she joined Little Zion Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she attended faithfully, found a loving congregation, and made many lifetime friends.
Deloris had a warm personality. She loved people, was compassionate, and always had a listening ear for those drawn to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and her youngest sister, Sylvia Jean Roberts.
