On July 14, 2025, Everette Lamar Marsh Sr, age 56 of Williamsburg, Virginia, heard and answered the Master's call surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on March 16, 1969, to James P. Marsh Sr. and Louise White-Marsh of Williamsburg, Virginia.
Evertte attended Lafayette High School, where he was voted most talented by his peers in the class of 1988. He was gifted in sports and music; however, his first love was sports. He excelled in basketball, football, and track and field. Everette’s love of music led him to join the Lafayette High School Choir. On occasion, he sang with his family’s gospel group. Louise Marsh & The Golden Voices. He also enjoyed performing alongside others.
After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army National Guard. He was also employed by Virginia Green Lawn Care and Fertile Ground Landscaping Solutions.
Later in life, Everette developed a relationship with the Lord. He had a few friends who were his prayer warriors. They would partner through prayer and in songs of worship to the Lord. He was a free spirit with a heart of gold. He would give his last to anyone in need. He loved people and people loved him.
Everette was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Edward White Sr.; grandfather Thomas E. Lee; and paternal grandmother Bessie Alma Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memories with the special people who were a part of his life to include, Shawnda McKnight, Peaches Bartlett, and Katina Hayes; three children, Everette Marsh Jr., Jayvell Marsh, and Aulishia Marsh; one brother James Marsh III (Dorinda); four sisters, Yolanda Marsh-Fisher (John), Vanessa Marsh, Lakeya Marsh, and Amanda Monday (Randolph); maternal grandmother, Vivian White-Lee; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and devoted friends.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Bethel Restoration Center with a viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
