Faith “Bebe” Vanessa Baugh

Faith Vanessa Baugh, lovingly known as “Bebe”, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Bebe was raised and resided in Williamsburg, VA most of her life and loved her hometown and surrounding areas.  She is a 1968 graduate from Berkeley High School.  

Bebe is preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Daniel Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Sonia Hunter (Charles III); son, Edmond Baugh (Tamica); grandchildren, Gavin McMorris, Devan Baugh, Brandon Baugh, Charles Hunter IV, and Josiah Baugh; great-grandchildren, Lakhi Randall, Karie McMorris, Gavin McMorris Jr., and Hayden Baugh; brother, Martin Roberts; dear uncle, David Walker; aunt, Eleanor Banks; and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Bebe suffered life-altering injuries in a car accident in her twenties that redefined her life. Her fighting spirit and unwavering determination transformed her into the strong and independent woman that she was loved and known for.  Bebe lovingly and selflessly took care of her mother for over a decade in the early 1990’s until her mother’s passing in 2003.  She could often be found socializing with her friends at bingo, meeting with her uncle every week for breakfast, and attending church at Little Zion Baptist in Grove where she was a member.  

Bebe made the decision to move closer to her children and grandchildren in Alabama where she found a new routine of spending weekends with her two youngest grandboys and embracing her expanding family.  She stayed busy building new friendships at her cherished Madison and Limestone Senior Centers, where they reciprocated their love for Bebe.  Most notably, Bebe spent her free time enjoying bingo with her daughter and friends.  Bebe adored her family and spent much of her time with them until she took her last breath.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

A walkthrough viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 in Little Zion Baptist Church.  A private graveside service will be at a later date.
