A native of York County, Virginia, Fulton J. Thomas was one of four children born to the late Verabell and Haywood Thomas Sr. on September 26, 1937. On Friday, March 15, 2024, Fulton left his earthly home to meet his Heavenly Father and loving wife, Joyce Marie Thomas.
Fulton retired from Newport News Public Schools after more than twenty years of service. Thomas; nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Fult”, Deborah Swinton, Orsby S. Thomas Sr. (A. Darlene), Darlene Thomas, Linda Hill, Daryl Thomas (Tiffany), and Byron Thomas; a host of great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
