Helen C. Jones

Helen C. Jones was called home on Friday, December 15, 2023, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Helen loved the Lord and was a long-time member of St. John Baptist Church, Williamsburg.

Helen was a healthcare provider at Olde Town Medical Center for thirty years and was a phlebotomist at Sentara Healthcare for ten years.

Helen was a great loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and a great friend to many.  She was always loving, caring, easy to talk to whenever you needed an encouraging word, and willing to help anyone. She loved her family, cooking, and baking. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Lindwood Ellis; three sisters, Anette, Carine, and Josephine; and six brothers, Lawerance, Robert, Richard, Ronald, Alex, and Earl.

She leaves precious memories with her two sons, Cedrick Jamal Jones and Roddrick Lee Jones; three grandchildren, Jahnina Althea Josephine Jones, Cedrick Jamal Jones Jr, and Yaiden Lee Jones; four sisters, Virginia, Sisroe, Dorothy (Anthony), and Noreen; two brothers, Joe and Tony; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, December 22, 2023, at St. John Baptist Church-Williamsburg. Ms. Jones may be viewed beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday until the time of her service in the church.
