Isiah Lyndell Williams was born on February 26, 1945, to the late Edgar Garnett and Pauline Taylor Williams. He was called to his Heavenly home on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his sister Bessie Brown and brother Lawrence Williams.
Zeke, as he was affectionately known, attended the Williamsburg-James City County public school system. He was the epitome of cool, calm, and collected. In his words, he was "one hell of a guy." He loved watching wrestling, old TV shows, especially westerns, and football. But none of these can be compared to his love for his family, friends, and life. Zeke loved the Lord and rededicated his life to Christ.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his longtime partner, Sheila Robinson of the home; children, Dania Harris (Moniko) and Shamika Henderson (Carlton), both of Virginia, Hubert Fowlkes, Shelley Perry (Travis), and Sherie Blue (Demonte), all of North Carolina; grandchildren, Bruce Washington Jr., Deondre Tucker, Carlton Henderson Jr., and Caterra Henderson, all of Virginia, Nahla Perry, Deion Perry, Kayden Blue, Kameron Blue, and baby Seven, all of North Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Symone Nelson; sisters Paulette Gary, Brenda Williams, Inetia Custalow (Clyde), and Felicia Taswell (Bruce), all of Virginia; sister in law, Vera Williams of Maryland; aunt, Mildred Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Zion Baptist Church, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 a.m.
