James A. Ramsey, a great father and mentor passed away on March 8, 2022, as he wished resting in his home. On May 30, 1940, he was born to the late Lula and Christopher Ramsey Sr. He and his two brothers Christopher Ramsey Jr. and Joseph Ramsey were raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
On December 25, 1965, James was united in holy matrimony to the former Joyce H. Ramsey. This union was blessed with two children, Scott A. Ramsey and Keith M. Ramsey. Joyce predeceased him in January 2013.
James was a proud bus driver for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and was a recipient of the “Driver of the Year Award”. He retired after thirty years of service. He was also a Teacher and Administrator with the York County Public School district.
His two sons that loved him very much, will forever hold on to his fondest memories which include watching him chase a yellow kite across a field, letting them ride along with him on his bus routes, and seeing him during the school day. He taught them many things about life and philosophy. They honor his name through the creation of business and fatherhood.
He left this world in his own home and on his own terms.
All services for Mr. Ramsey will be private.
