Jeather Howard

Jeather Yvette Howard gained her wings and was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on October 11, 1966, to the late Daniel “Leroy” and Naomi Howard.

Jeather was employed by Water Street Grill.  She continued to be a dedicated and hard-working employee until her passing.

She was a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She had a passion for cooking and sharing her delicious dishes with her family.  She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her son, Dontae Jamar Howard.  Jeather’s memories will forever remain with her children, DeAndre Howard and DeLisa Howard, both of Yorktown VA; the love and joy of her life grandson, Jaxxon Scarboro; siblings, Rhodney Blow (Rita) and Brian Howard, both of Newport News, VA, Danielle Howard, and Latroy Howard; special friend, Paul Dobi; and a host of loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Live stream will be available at the start of the service. Ms. Howard may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Facial coverings are required for all services.
