Jereme Joseph

On Friday, May 21, 2021, Jereme Brent Joseph, 38, of Williamsburg, Virginia, slipped into eternal rest to be with the heavenly father and his mother at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Virginia.

Born on April 14, 1983, Jereme was the oldest son of Christina and Craig Joseph Sr.

Although he was only 38 years old at the time of his death, Jereme touched many lives with his upbeat personality and desire to live life to the fullest.

Jereme was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School System.  He developed a strong passion for music at an early age and began learning the craft of being a DJ at the age of 12 and later learned to play drums with the James Blair Middle School Marching Band.  Driven to perfect his passion, he soon became a well-known hometown DJ and music promoter, playing at many weddings and special events in the Tidewater and surrounding areas.   

He worked many years at the Williamsburg Event Rentals and was in pursuit of owning his own event planning business until his untimely death. He will be loved and missed by many.

Jereme was predeceased by his mother, Christina Renata “Nani” Joseph.  He is survived by his son, Jatai Lacy; father, Craig B. Joseph Sr.; two sisters, Chavon Jackson and Simone Joseph; two brothers, Craig Joseph Jr. and Sean Joseph; grandmother, Hilda M. Burrell; uncle, Franklin “Mainboy “Jackson; two aunts, Vega Brown and Paulette Green; three nieces, Ozjha Moore, Ileyah Banks, and Brooklyn Camacho; three nephews, Naya Moore, DaVon Banks, and David Camacho III; great-nephew, Ayden T. Thomas; his special love, Sara “Bookie” Slate, who will forever cherish and miss him; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021, at Bethel Restoration Center, with Dr. Ronald Ellis officiating.  Facial coverings and social distancing will be required.  Mr. Joseph may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
