On Saturday, August 28, 2021, God called Jerry Lee Graves home to give him his wings and assign him to his heavenly duties. He was born on August 2, 1968.
He was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools.
He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories his wife, Monica Renee Graves; children, Antonio Courtney, Timothy Courtney, LaSandra Courtney; grandchildren, Antonio Brower, Amaiyia Johnson, Alexandria Johnson, Kendal Courtney, Kalia Courtney, Matthew Asay; mother, Vivian Graves; father, Harold Coles; mother-in-law, Joan Ellis; sister, Lillian Edwards, Gwen Lee, Minister Arlene Ashby (Rickey); brothers, Jasper Graves, Elder Jerome Graves, Harold Graves, and Telly Harris; aunts, Ruby Coles, Mildred Harris, Celestine Coles, Samuel, Lenora Meekins, and Grace Coles; special nephew, Jonathan Wright; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service. Mr. Graves may be viewed beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the hour of his service. Facial covers are required at all services.
