On Monday, May 25, 2026, God called our beloved John David Bryant to eternal rest at the Hospice House of Williamsburg, Virginia.
He was born on March 23, 1953, to the late John Henry Wesley and Julia Elizabeth Bryant West.
John was also preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Kanfield Bryant; his grandparents, Archie and Hilda Bryant; and his brother, Mark Wesley.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his daughters, Nicole Bryant and Jondara Bryant; stepdaughters, Latoya Jones and Latashia Lamb (Edward); sisters, Minister Juliette Y. Williams of Hampton, VA, Debra A West of Hampton, VA, and Tara Wesley (Eddie) of Delaware; brothers, Julius West III (Eleanor) of Charlotte, N.C., Rev. Dr. Nathaniel D. West (La Nessa) of Richmond, VA, Jonathan L. West (Marcia) of Philadelphia, PA, Minister James West of Hampton, VA, Eric Wesley of Delaware, and Minister Julian E. West (Renetta) of Hampton, VA; eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; special friends, Renita Washington and Corey Bartlett, a wonderful friend and boss for over twenty years.
A viewing will be held for John on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Whiting's Funeral Home, with a Homegoing service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
