Her life began on February 22, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Geneva Moore of Williamsburg, Virginia. She was affectionally known as Mama Julia by friends and members of her church.
At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. Over the years, Mama Julia developed a strong love for the Lord which always showed as she led many to the Lord Jesus Christ. West Jr. She served as a member of the Senior Missionary Group Ministry. She loved and adored children and regularly attended Sunday School at St. Stephens. Twenty years ago Mama Julie returned to Virginia and joined Mt. Ararat Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ventson H. Robinson, Sr.
Following her graduation from the Williamsburg James City County Training School, she was employed by Colonial Williamsburg. Mama Julia met and was united in Holy Matrimony with the late Edward Wilburn. Unto this union, they were blessed with two sons, Roy and Ricky Wilburn. As a military wife, Julia lived in Germany for years and was very active in military events.
