Our loved one Kathy A. Kendall entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1949, to the late Edna and Joshua Palmer Sr.
Kathy was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. For many years, she was a dedicated employee of Suburban Disposal, the family business. Kathy married her life partner, Edward Kendall aka “Red” and together they raised five beautiful children.
Kathy loved caring for people, shopping, and cooking for family and friends. She was known to cook everything well! Kathy also enjoyed joking and making people laugh. Her presence will be missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and Anitra Palmer, her niece whom she loved so dearly.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughters, Karen LaSha, Danielle LaSha LeWars (Pete), and Gabrielle LaSha Redcross (Horace); sons, Jamal LaSha and Lael LaSha; step-daughter, Terry Kendall; grandchildren, Elijah LaSha, Katherine LaSha, LeShawn LaSha, Kendall LeWars, and Kourtney LeWars; sisters, Paulette Pugh (Zephaniah) and Marie Gray; brothers, Joshua Palmer Jr., Bernard Palmer (Melissa), and James Palmer; adopted sister, Virginia Wallace; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Whiting’s Funeral Home.
