Keira Sargeant-Langhorn Obituary

Keira Naomi Sargeant-Langhorn departed this world all too soon on June 14, 2024. She was a bright light and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born on December 7, 2007.

Keira was an upcoming junior at Warhill High School, where she excelled academically and actively participated in many extracurricular activities throughout her high school career. She was a dedicated member of the Key Club and Women in Diversity, and her love for theater was evident both on and off stage. In addition to spending time with her closest friends, she found great joy and pride in working for Go-Karts-Plus since June 2023.

She aspired to be a neurosurgeon and dreamed of attending George Mason University, with plans to further her studies at Oxford University. She had a passion for travel, with Bora Bora at the top of her list for her first trip.

Keira enjoyed listening to music, singing, and dancing, frequently initiating karaoke and Just Dance parties at home with her family. She loved having fun, playing games, and all things Bridgerton or having to do with a good love story. She also loved to plan events and be the host of the party.

Despite facing her own challenges, Keira remained a source of strength and inspiration to her friends and family. Her resilience and courage were a testament to her spirit.  Her kindness and empathy left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She loved hard and enjoyed being loved.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Gwendolyn Patillo. Keira is survived by her parents, Frederick Germaine Langhorn (Noelle Yarn) and Angel Sargeant;  beloved siblings, Jacob Dean, Bryana Sargeant, Sarea Sargeant, Michael Sargeant, Noelani Yarn, and Liam Langhorn; grandparents, Frederick and Victoria Langhorn, Roy and Rachelle Sargeant, and Michael and Jacqueline Dunbar; great-grandparents, Jimmie “Suga Momma” Brown and Harold and Doris Sargeant; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Keira's time with us was heartbreakingly brief, but her impact was profound. Her intelligence, eloquence, and warmth touched many lives and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Rosebud.

A service to celebrate Keira's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at Whiting's Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.  Ms. Langhorn may be viewed on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of her service in the chapel.
