Keith Cardell Jones

Keith “Ye- Bop” C. Jones was born on November 23, 1960, to the union of Robert E. and Rosa Belle Jones of Williamsburg, Virginia.  He departed this life on Monday, March 29, 2021, in Beckley, West Virginia.

He attended the York County Public schools in Williamsburg Virginia, where he found his passion for football.  He played for four years until he graduated from Bruton High School.

Keith was a very hard worker. He worked several years at Fort Eustis.  

Keith loved talking to everyone. He didn’t have to know you to start up a conversation. He loved being outside, enjoying his friends, and driving his favorite car which was named “Bambi”.   He also loved listening to music especially gospel and watching TBN. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a young age. He loved to tell people about God and how Jesus can save you.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his brother, Orlando Jones; two nephews, Trabion and Tyrek Jones; godmother, Audrey Dorsey; special friends, Shirley and Conway Wynne; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Whiting's Funeral Home, with a viewing starting 2 hours prior.  Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance with facial coverings and social distance requirements.  Livestream will be available at the start of the service.
