Lafayette Jones Jr.

Lafayette Jones Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, at home.  He was 81 years old.  

Lafayette was born on October 4, 1942, to Nora and Lafayette Jone Sr, in Williamsburg, VA.  He will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jones; three children, eleven grandchildren, great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends.  

A war veteran, Lafayette leaves a distinguished legacy of service to his country; serving in the US Army and retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He will also be remembered for his passion of sharing history with his community. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, humor, wisdom, and love. 

May he rest in peace. 

Lafayette was laid to rest in a private ceremony on February 22, 2024.
