Larry "LB" Bartlett, along with his twin brother Harry, were born on February 28, 1956, in Williamsburg, VA.
After birth, they moved to Newport News, VA, with their maternal aunt Mary Tynes Carroll, who loved and nurtured them until school age. They attended the Newport News Public schools before moving back to Williamsburg at the age of 8.
Larry attended WJCC schools, where he and Harry played football at Lafayette High School, leading them to the State Championship. They graduated with the Class of 1975.
Soon after graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged shortly thereafter due to health reasons.
Larry was a dedicated worker for many years at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Public School System, and most recently with his nephew at Southern Pancake and Waffle House and Coreys Chicken Shack.
Larry had many talents, hobbies, and skills, including drawing, painting, cooking, fishing, and gardening. All these things brought him so much joy, and he did them with a smile.
Larry was blessed with two daughters, Ashley Bartlett-Smith (Malik) and KeyAnna Bartlett.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Tynes Bartlett and Thomas Bartlett Sr., and brothers, Thomas “Bubba” Bartlett Jr., John Bartlett Sr., and Donnie Bartlett.
