Lillian "Lou" Frazier Obituary

Ms. Lilian Louise “Lou” Frazier was born on October 10, 1943, to the late George and Lillian Frazier. She gained her Heavenly Wings on August 6, 2020.

Born and raised in Williamsburg, VA, she gave her life to Christ and joined Zion Baptist church at an early age.  She was a devoted member who believed in serving. For many years she sang in various choirs and served as the chair for Women's Day.  She also served on other committees and anywhere else that she could be of help.

Lillian worked as a staff member of residence life at The College of William & Mary; retiring after many years of dedicated service.   She often talked about how much she enjoyed the students and what a wonderful relationship she had with them.

Lillian, affectionately known as "Loubet", "Lou" or "Aunt Lou" by her many nieces and nephews, had an enormous heart and was always willing to open her home to anyone in need of a meal.  She made her famous pound cakes for everyone's birthday or any special occasion.  She loved having people over after church for Sunday dinners and thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant chatter of family and their melodious voices when they sang for the glory of God.

Lillian was preceded in death by her son, Neil "Cookie" Frazier and six sisters.  Her memories will forever remain with her six children, Anthony Frazier (Bonita), Rema Henderson (Mark), Carles Hankle (Olanda), Crystal Hill (Richard), Carol Pierce, and Darryle Frazier (Pam); ten grandchildren, Andre', Jovan, Crista, Cristin, Alvin, Dre', Xaria, Tracy, Kazia, and Neil; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Preston Frazier (Vivian); two special nephews, Michael Frazier and Warren "Dooley Bug" Carter; a special cousin, Connie Crew and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Zion Baptist Church, Williamsburg.  A walkthrough viewing will be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Whiting’s Funeral Home.  Facemask and social distancing will be required at all services.
