Lisa Laverne Parrott

Lisa Laverne Parrott was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 7, 1965, to the late Richard A. Parrott Sr. and Shirley A. James of Williamsburg VA. On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Lisa, known as "Meme", to her grandchildren entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Parrott Jr. and uncle Rayford Parrott.

Lisa attended Bruton High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, graduating with the class of 1984.  

 Lisa enjoyed being with her family and caring for her grandkids and great-grands. She enjoyed cooking singing, dancing, and gardening. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, always offering a helping hand. She will be deeply missed by everyone!

 Her life is carried on by her children, Dominique Oaks, Nathaniel Oaks (Whitney Redmon), and Marlon Oaks (Alba Oaks); grandchildren Cameron Hanson, Ar’reona Oaks, My’Leyah Oaks, Sa’niya Oaks, Alexis Oaks, Josiah Oaks, Kaidence Oaks, Akhari Oaks, Braylen Oaks brothers, James Parrott (Natasha Parrott), Harold Buttrom (Tileda Buttrom); sisters, Vanessa Parrott, Tina Buttrom; a special loving friend Venicha McBride who will continue to honor her memory and carry forward her spirit of love and kindness; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
