On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, our beloved Mother, Maggie Anne Hill Hundley, heard the Lord’s voice say to her “Well done, my good and faithful servant, the battle fought, the victory won, enter into thy Master’s Joy.” She answered the Master’s call at her home in Williamsburg VA at the age of 93. She was born on February 14, 1928, the oldest of ten children to the late Floyd Hill Sr. and Hettie Odell Hill, in Philadelphia PA.
In her youth, the family moved to Yorktown, VA. Mother Maggie accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a true Evangelist.
She truly loved her family and they loved her too. We thank you, Father God, for blessing us with such a precious jewel from heaven.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles H. Hundley, Sr, four brothers: Floyd Hill Jr, Lewis Hill, Alford Lee Hill, and John Marvin Hill, a grandson, Lester Cross, Jr., and a great-grandson, Justin Avery Williams.
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories nine wonderful children and twenty wonderful grandchildren, Patricia Ann (Lester) and their children, Candace and Kimberly; Charlene Deloris (Lawrence) and their children, Alicia and Lawrence, II; Charles Henry, Jr. (Faye) and daughter, Terry; Ronald Edward (Beverly) and their children, Rebecca and Rosalyn; Joyce Renee (Saxton Jr) and their children, Terrell, Saxton III, Durjuan, and Traves; Gervis Lynn (Pamela) and daughter, Ashley; Deborah Elaine (Ronald) and their children, Natasha, Bridgette, and Alissa; Allen Thane (Betina) and their children, Nicole, Tracy and Kristy; Vincent Lamont (Kimberly) and their children, Ty Garland and Cameron; eighteen beautiful great-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother, Pauline Hill Carter, Lillian Hill Perrin, Carolyn Hill Justice, Hettie Odell Hill Gee (James), and Sherman Callis Hill (Edmonia); sister-in-law, Myrtle Gordon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service.
