Marvin Wallace, 70, son of the late Bernard and Lillian Wallace, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
He was employed with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation; retiring after thirty-seven years of dedicated service. After retirement, he worked for the Williamsburg-James City County Public School system for ten years until his health prevented him from doing so. He was a hardworking family man that will truly be missed by all who knew him.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Mary A. Wallace; son, Marvin L. Wallace; stepchildren, Sharlene Jones, Edward Jones, and Terry Jones; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Wallace (Vera) and Alphonso Wallace; sisters, Yvonne Harris (Linwood) and Regina Frazier (Emmett); uncle, Joseph Jones (Bernette); aunts, Gloria Jones, Ann Warfield (Lewis) Aqullia Jones and Lenora Jones; great-aunt, Clara Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at St. John Baptist Church, Toano. Interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends to assemble at the church by 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Wallace may be viewed on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of his service.
