Maryann Collins departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1967, to Harry Smalls and Juanita Tew who provided her with unwavering support throughout her formative years. She was raised by her grandparents, Bernetha "Rosa" Manigault-Smalls and Sidney Smalls in South Carolina since the age of three.
Maryann is survived by her cherished husband Anthony T. Collins; daughters, Breanna Collins and Davona Johnson; granddaughter Ja’khyia Hall; and son-in-law Andrew Johnson.
She shared a profound bond with her siblings, Earl Smalls, Janet Summers, Albert Smalls, and Ralph Smalls.
She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and joined Andersons Baptist Church in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Maryann found joy in television shows, game nights, humor, and the happiness of those around her. Her hobbies included crocheting, needlepoint, reading, watching television, and enjoying cruises. Her family will always remember her as a person of immense love, patience, and sincerity. We are devasted by the void in our hearts that her passing has left but we hope she knows that the depth of our love will never fade away.
A funeral service to celebrate Maryann's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Calvary Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Mrs. Collins may be viewed on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of her service in the church.
