Melinda (Redcross) Lowery

Melinda Lowery was born on December 21, 1968, to the union of Horace and Mary Redcross, in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Her earthly journey ended on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her residence.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Personal Savior and joined Little Zion Baptist Church.  She was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School system.

Melinda was well known and loved by many.  She was the life of the party and always made people laugh.  She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janel Redcross.  She leaves to cherish precious memories her children, Curtis Lowery Jr., Ashley Lowery, Ebony Kelly, Melissa Hopson, Jasper Graves Jr., and Latasha Graves; brother, Horace Redcross Jr. (Gabrielle); sisters, Melissa Hollins and Debra Witts (Minister Earl); eight grandchildren; special friend, Jasper Graves Sr.; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Whiting's Funeral Home.  Livestream will be available at the beginning of the service. Facial coverings are required.
