Colonel Michael Sanford Sirkis, U.S.A., Ret., 87, passed away July 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Irving Abraham Sirkis and Rose Rykus Sirkis and was the youngest of three boys. He is survived by his sons, Robert and James, and daughter, Elisabeth, six grandchildren, Robert Jr., William, Thomas, Jacob, Maya, and Avram, and one great-grandchild, Eric.
Mike, always an honorable man, was a soldier with a distinguished career in the Army. A lifelong leader, he also served as Vice President of the Center for Creative Leadership for ten years.
He treasured his family and his sixty-three years of marriage to his beloved wife, Susan, and was her partner in the family business.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 24, 2021, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 1:00 p.m. at Whiting's Funeral Home, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA.
