Michael "Mikey" Christen Davis

Michael Christen Davis was born on October 11, 1987, in Brooklyn, New York. He entered into eternal life on Friday, February 21, 2020.

”Mikey”, a nickname given to him at a young age by his mother, was a loving and caring man who loved everyone that he met. He attended Woodside High School.  Mikey’s personality was joyful, and he always wanted to make people laugh with his funny antics and jokes.  Mikey was a person that would do anything for anyone. He loved singing old school music. He worked hard and provided for his children. Anyone who knew Mikey knew he was a big New York Giants fan.  He also bragged about the waves in his hair and his spades playing skills. He was a loving dad to his children and loved all his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mikey loved all of his family and will truly be missed.

Mikey was preceded in death by his son, Camden Davis, mother, Shelia Powers-Davis, grandmother, Margret Davis, and grandfathers, Charles Davis and James Powers.  He is survived by his sons, Nazier Davis, of Florida and Zayne, of Newport News; father, Kenneth Davis, of New York; grandmother, Evelyn Powers, of Hampton; siblings, Shuaid (Candace), of Newport News, Justin (Margret), of Florida, and Amber (Akil), of Newport News; five nieces, Camiryn, Jaylin, Jyhlah, Reagan and Ryan; three nephews, Shuaid II (Bear/Rufus), Jahmir and Renaldo (Quin); the mother of his child Zayne -Courtney Arthur; extended brothers, Michael Torres, Kahalil James, Kendell Yon (Kasino), Aaron Alexander; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A wake will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Whiting's Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, please make monetary donations to the family.
